Is it a bird, is it a plane... nope, it's a train!
China is currently planning a new high speed rail technology that would take you from Beijing to London in two days. These plans are part of the Chinese Ministry of Railways proposals to build two lines to Europe, one passing through India, Pakistan, the Middle East and terminating in London, while a second would head towards Germany via Russia. And there could even be a third line extending south from China to connect Vietnam, Thailand, Burma and Malaysia. Nothing's been set in stone just yet but plans have gotten underway including negotiations between all the countries involved. There's no guaranteeing that these amazing high tech and high speed trains will actually come into being, but we're hoping they will! It will bring a whole new meaning to international travel as well as high speed trains! What countries would you like to see connected by rail lines and would you use them as opposed to getting flights? Leave your comments below.
