Jerk Trail created in Jamaica
An exciting development for those who love their food - Jamaica has come up with an idea for a Jerk Trail!

I for one have had a fascination with the island since a certain film about bobsledding and now could well be the time to take a trip.

Picture this: Backpacker travel across Jamaica, staying in hostels as you go, while visiting ten places where you can sample some famed jerk cooking.

The Jamaica Tourist Board has created the trail, with experts in the technique - which involves marinating meat for hours - explaining it to visitors.

Minister of tourism Edmund Bartlett remarked: "We invite travellers to come to Jamaica and sample this dish the way it was meant to be experienced - in our laid back, tropical environment."

The trail starts off at Green Island and I know that hostels there include Harding Hall, so this could make for quite an enjoyable (and tasty) summer trip.
