Johnny 'Sticky' Budden is planning on travelling to the City of Lights from John O'Groats in Scotland using nothing but his skill, beginning with 100 miles in one day. That's 1,000 miles in total and it sounds like a daunting task - and I'm not sure how he plans to cross the Channel - but he's doing it all for a truly worthy cause, raising cash and awareness for motor neurone disease (MND).
Speaking about why he chose this particular illness, Budden remarked: "When I came across MND and read what it does to the body, how it takes away people's ability to move, I knew I wanted to help raise as much money and awareness for the MND Association as possible."
To get yourself in the mood for cheering him on, I recommend you watch French film District 13. A loose plot perhaps but it's a great introduction to Parkour and is very entertaining, particularly if you get your hands on the English-dubbed version, as the characters have been given Irish accents and speak in monotones, which is pretty funny to boot.
