Learn about Vienna in Film
According to TravMedia.com, Vienna in Film is coming to the Wien Museum in the city between May 27th and September 19th (which gives you plenty of time to plan a vacation and save up all your pennies to be able to enjoy it). Apparently, the exhibition is a glimpse into the city's role on the big screen and those who attend will be treated to a range of clips from movies going back 100 years.
You'll also, no doubt, come across a few films that you've either never heard of or would like to see as sources such as The Wedding March by Erich von Stroheim (from 1928), Gotz Spielmann's Antares (slightly later, made in 2004) and Emile Edwin Reinert's Abenteuer in Wien (dating back to 1952) have all been used as examples of Vienna featuring on the silver screen.
What may be of particular interest to movie buffs is how famous landmarks within the city are portrayed in the films and how Vienna itself has changed over the years.
If you decide to head off on your travels to take in this show, please make sure that you also make a few pit stops off at one of the most delightfully girly cafes you're likely to ever come across.
Tips from the T-List's Andy Hayes recently noted that Cafe Aida - with its pink confectionery and parasols - is a good place to get a bite to eat.
