There will probably be a high demand for beds in the Scottish capital from June 16th to the 27th because it is the Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF).
I am great lover of movies and especially anything with Indiana Jones, so missing this event doesn't bear thinking about.
I have been a few times before and I can tell you it was truly fantastic. The amount of impressive acts that were on show was breathtaking and there was some huge talent displayed.
But if you think that there might not be any promising motion pictures then you'd most certainly be wrong. There have been premieres of legendary films, such as Pulp Fiction, Back to the Future and The Hurt Locker over the years.
One of the main celebrations at the festival this year will be for Scotsman Sir Sean Connery, who celebrates his 80th year in 2010. The former James Bond actor he was amazing in that - has been a patron of the event since 1992 and there will be a special gala at the Festival Theatre to honour his contribution.
Hannah McGill, artistic director of the EIFF, reckons the event is a "fitting way to celebrate Sir Sean's 80 years almost 20 of which he has given to support the EIFF as Patron.
"He is a great friend of the festival and we look forward to celebrating this amid the glitter of the festival theatre."
