New flights from Turkish Airlines
Turkey may be something of a political hot topic, but that doesn't seem to put off tourists too much.

I know quite a few people who've taken holidays to the country and visited some of its hostels and it appears to me to be a popular destination.

So backpackers around the world may be rejoicing in the news that Turkish Airlines has stepped up its flights to a whole host of cities.

The airline didn't mention how cheap travel will be, but it could be worth checking out as departures to Peking, Shanghai, Beirut, Tunis, Skopje and Sanaa have been increased.

Beirut seems to be the biggest winner as there will now be two flights a day, while the two Chinese cities are getting five each every week.

If you're thinking of checking out hostels in any of the destinations while on a trip to Asia then this is probably pretty good news, particularly as Turkish Airlines won an operational excellence award from Airbus last month.
