Paris is great for duty-free
According to Four Seasons magazine, this airport is one of the best in the world for snaffling up a few bargains, particularly in terms of alcohol and tobacco, although - naturally and as you would expect for France - there are lots of lovely food stores available where you can pick up some great presents.
The news source noted that, aside from being able to fill your suitcase with bottles of Courvoisier Cognac (which it says is a "great find"), you will also be able to make a quick pit stop at the airport branch of Fauchon, where you can stock up quickly on excellent teas and some duck confit.
But, of course, as I mentioned in a recent blog post about Paris, shopping in the City of Light is almost unavoidable and is pretty much a rite of passage for any newcomer. Those who are feeling a bit overwhelmed at the number of places they can go to spend their money might like to do as Ann Yungmeyer of the Herald Courier suggested and enlist the services of a personalised shopping guide company, such as Nuit Blanch Tours.
