Lucky for you then that I've come across a couple of suggestions, as set forth by Valarie D'Elia of NY1, who's made some recommendations for those who may be new to the city and are somewhat unsure about what's on offer for sweethearts who want to relight the fire of their love.
First up is cooking classes, although at first glance this may not seem like the perfect choice to many men out there. Head to the Culinary Institute of America in the mid Hudson Valley for a weekend of lunches, baking, grilling and all other types of cookery you can conjure up.
If that doesn't float your boat and you want to do something that's a little bit more strenuous, heading to the Rockefeller Centre and the Rock Centre Cafe could be a brilliant idea, which are putting on their annual Skate-A-Date programme. Those who opt for this - and personally, I think it's the better of the two ideas - get to hold two VIP passes to the ice rink, which means that you get to skip out on all those pesky queues and you'll also be provided with a delicious meal for two with a beautiful view.
However, you could have a fight on your hands for a romantic getaway in the Big Apple. It was recently confirmed that the city was the most popular destination for US jet setters in 2009.
