Research should be first priority for gappers
Posted in: Travel

Doing some backpacker travel is without a doubt a great way to spend a year out, as long as you do your preparation.
That's not just according to me, Peter Slowe from Projects Abroad told the UK's Daily Mail newspaper that research should be the first priority.
He reckons the number of people taking a year off to travel is growing and while that is a welcome fact, he highlighted the need to be prepared.
"They need to do some research, for example how much money they will need and what inoculations to have," Mr Slowe said.
Of course, it's also worth planning ahead by booking hostels and cheap travel tickets if you're going to be moving around a lot, because then at least you have somewhere to rest your weary head!
And if you can't decide where you'd like to take a trip to, New Zealand could be a good option - as it was named the most peaceful country on earth last week.
