Finding a cheap hostel in New York should be top of your priorities for those planning on attending the event.
Fans of the genre may well recognise headliner De La Soul, who will be performing at the attraction alongside a host of top names from the industry, including Money Making Jam Boys, Black Moon and Smif-N-Wessun.
The former have been around since the late 80s and released a host of records including the Grind Date, Stakes is High and De La Soul is Dead.
And the organisers hold the band in high regard, noting that their first album 3 Feet High and Rising "with its colourful, neo-psychedelic collage of samples and styles, plus the Long Island trio's low-key, clever rhymes and goofy humour sounded like nothing else in hip-hop".
The festival itself aims to highlight the genre of hip-hop music as an "agent of artistic progression", the festival website continues.
The attraction takes place between July 5th and the 10th so it might be a good idea to ensure your New York hostel is booked to coincide with these days if you fancy catching the beats.
And if you are keen on attending then reserving a hostel in New York close to the Tobacco Warehouse, where the main day will be held on July 10th, as well as Brooklyn Bridge might also be worth considering.
