It is occurring on September 18th and 19th and once you have checked out an array of traditional buildings then you might need your own roof over your head for the night which could be in the shape of a hostel in London.
More than 700 structures, neighbourhood walks, architects' talks and cycle tours will all be available to attend which is set to include places such as the BT Tower or homes on a much smaller scale.
The event's website noted that it could also be an educational visit.
"Find out more about issues that are relevant to your local area - from the design of homes to the impact of climate change and the role of architects and contemporary design in revitalising places," it added.
But those who are concerned about being left to their own devices at the buildings need not return to their London hostel straightaway as there will often be guides to show individuals around the sites.
Another positive of the initiative is that there is free admission to all the Open House London events.
In addition, the website recommends that a selection of the properties will require individuals to book in advance in order to enter with limited spaces available on a first come, first served basis.
