Return to your London hostel after a fright in the capital
The Film4 Frightfest is being held over the August bank holiday weekend from 26th to the 30th and those who are easily scared may have to retreat to their cheap hostel in London.
Its website describes it as the UK's premiere fantasy and horror festival and it could be ideal for cinema enthusiasts travelling in the country.
The spectacle is currently in its 11th year and those who are thinking of attending will be able to enjoy premieres, previews, signings and personal appearances, while there may even be a few surprises thrown in.
In previous years, thousands of spectators have gathered at the Empire Cinema in London's West End for the five-day extravaganza, so it might be worth booking a London hostel near the building for those who want to be based nearby.
There will be a wide range of films on offer, including The Last Exorcism and Damned By Dawn, as well as The Tortured, of which the latter features former Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe. He stars as Craig, the boyfriend of Elise, who is played by Erika Christensen.
But for the more faint-hearted, instead of quivering under the pillow in your hostel in London, it might be worth going out to see some of the sights available, such as Buckingham Palace or the Houses of Parliament, while those with good cameras may appreciate the views from the London Eye.
