I'm suitably jealous of all those who will be heading to the area to watch the sky light up as, not only will there be "the city's biggest public fireworks show" - so says the leisure centre website, anyway - but a three-course meal is also being provided to feed the starving masses prior to kick off, which is at 19:30 GMT.
Not only that, but live entertainment is also on the carte du jour, with local radio legend Big Al heading the event. This year's theme is Disney, apparently, so I'm interpreting that to mean that anything goes and there will be a host of surprises in store. Who knows? You may even run into Snow White and her gang of dwarves. That would be pretty cool.
If it's three-course meals you're after though, rather than fireworks, a quick ferry ride away is Dublin, where you can fill your belly in the city's oldest pub - The Brazen Head - while listening to a collection of folkloric tales from the country's past.
