Shop till you drop in Rome
The Italians are famed for knowing a thing or two about fashion so popping along to this city was a wise move. From Gucci to Armani, there are endless brand names and opportunities to splash the cash.
But I didnt exactly have loads to spend in these places not that my girlfriend seemed to know this the way she was buying!
One woman who shares her aspirations for materials is Daily Telegraph writer Adriaane Pielou, who calls the location "the world's most extravagantly beautiful city".
She recommends visiting Rome's most famous shopping street, Via Condotti, where many a shoe or garment can be purchased for that wardrobe back home. Be it a Swatch watch or a Louis Vuitton wallet, it is all there in one long line.
But after spending copious amounts of cash, it might be a good idea to enjoy a bit of culture, such as in the Pantheon. Ms Pielou decided to take the option of walking down the backstreets to get to this great venue, which could be a good plan if you want to see a bit more of authentic Rome.
And this superb piece of architecture will not leave you feeling like you have wasted your time by trekking down the windy streets what an amazing scene! The building just seems to sum up the Italian capital city's history with its pillars out the front, each intricately decorated. Wow!
