Stay in a London hostel and experience Brazilian films
The event is taking place from September 1st to the 5th at the Apollo cinema, so it might be worth booking a London hostel to ensure you can take a trip to the event.
It is the second of its kind in the capital and there will be ten motion pictures on show, ranging from literary adaptations to comedy.
Jose Alvarenga Junior's So Normal 2, inspired by a TV series in the South American country, should provide some humour as the Apollo website stated it will "have the audience doubled-over in laughter".
Enthusiasts may even be able to speak to the directors and actors involved with the films before returning to their hostel in London, as the stars will be holding question and answer sessions after their movies.
In addition, one of the productions will be awarded with the Crystal Lens accolade for Best Film of the 2nd Brazilian Film Festival of the City.
Some may recognise the industry names that will be showcasing their efforts, such as Who Killed Pixote? director Jose Joffily and Daniel Filho, the producer of top flicks Carandiru and City of God.
The latter film - which stars Douglas Silva and Alexandre Rodrigues - was released in January 2003 and tells the story of two boys that grow up in a dangerous part of Rio de Janeiro.
Moreover, a Brazilian civilisation documentary - Tamboro, which was directed by Sergio Bernardes - will also be presented to visitors at the event.
