Take a gamble this New Year
Not sure how to spend your New Year's Eve this year? Sick of the same-old, same-old house parties and street shenanigans, where everyone you know and many that you don't stand around in daft hats chanting the first line of Auld Lang Syne over and over again because no-one, in more than ten years, has bothered to learn the rest of the song? If that sounds like an accurate description of yourself, read on because I have a great suggestion that could start 2010 off perfectly for you.

Why not backpack to Las Vegas for your New Year's celebrations? It's not known as the Entertainment Capital of the World for nothing and I'm fairly sure you'll have an amazing time if you do go, no matter what your party needs are. For those who fancy a bit of a quieter time, there can be no better suggestion than having a meal in one of the city's finest restaurants. There are 17 Michelin-starred eateries to choose from, but I recommend The Mansion at MGM Grand, where you can get some delicious French cuisine.

If that doesn't float your boat, rocking out till dawn was never so easy than in Vegas, with themed clubs to chic bars catering for every requirement. Failing that, catching a theatre show could be a good idea, with The Lion King being put on, as well as some Cirque du Soleil action. And, of course, you could always get married. That would make the evening memorable indeed.

If you're more of a country mouse and the sounds of the city don't appeal, a trip to Australia might not be a bad idea as there are plenty of parties planned for around this time, with some fairly low-key affairs happening on several of their famous beaches.ADNFCR-2435-ID-19365360-ADNFCR
