So, it could be time to take advantage of the problems being seen in the UK at the moment. The pound is currently quite weak - particularly against the US dollar - but it might be about to bounce back a little.
Mary Rance, boss of UKinbound, reckons Americans don't seem to realise just how far their money goes at the moment. Cheap hostels are generally the best way to find shelter while on your travels and they could seem even cheaper at the moment, since she says the pound has fallen by around 30 per cent.
According to Ms Rance, there are "exceptional savings and value" in the English capital at the minute and she added that it's not as expensive a destination as people think.
Indeed, having been there myself a few times I can tell you that most of the best things can actually be done for free! There's so much to see just by walking around areas like Westminster that you hardly have to pay anything to enjoy a visit.
Last week, Visit London found that Europeans taking advantage of the weak pound were a major factor in trips to London's attractions increasing by 20 per cent in April, so maybe it's time Americans got in on the act as well!
