With all the information that is available at a touch of a button, it seems no one has to remain in the dark for long about anything.
I, for one, lament the loss of the genuine TV competition question (that doesn't prompt a simple internet search), but I admit it has made planning backpacker travel and visits to hostels in general much easier.
So for those who share a thirst for knowledge, oneworld - an airline alliance - has brought some good news.
Its Travel Stations provide information about a range of subjects, such as places to eat and things to see, when you arrive at an airport.
They were already available at a few places in Europe, but now they're heading to New York, so all those who have booked into hostels in the Big Apple can check them out when they arrive at JFK airport.
And speaking of JFK - Scanderberg Air has just announced that it is going to start running flights from there to Albania.
