Shamita Singha, in an interview with DNA India, remarked that she paid a visit to a wine estate while in the region, something which could be perfect for Valentine's sweethearts as, she noted, it offers "all the luxuries one could imagine".
She went on to detail the "antique furniture" - although this may only be of interest to art dealers and those who work at restoring chairs and tables - but also mentioned the "divine gnocchi with mushrooms and truffles", which I'm sure appeals to pretty much anyone who is reading this.
If you're already sorely tempted to book a Florence flight, the description of Ms Singha's days while on holiday in the area will probably make you reach for your credit card. Apparently, she whiled away the hours by going on horseback riding trips and then wound down in the evenings with olive oil tasting workshops, an itinerary she said was "bliss".
However, anyone crossing their fingers for a Florence-related gift may have to settle for the Ponte Vecchio in a snowglobe, as recent research from eBillme has found that nearly 25 per cent of people will be heading to the internet to buy their presents.
