Try the Riviera to get in the Carnaval mood!
Following on from our previous post about festivals and other fun stuff to do during these winter months, we've come across a carnival that's sure to warm up those winter chills!
'Carnaval de Nice' is the premier event in the French Riviera and is one of the largest carnivals in the world. Taking place from February 12th to 28th this year, a trip to Nice for this carnival is sure to entertain you this winter. There's plenty to look at with processions, floats, street artists, tightrope walkers, folklore groups and these are just during the day!
During the night time there's even more with lots of music and entertainment throughout the Carnaval! This all takes place on the unique setting of the Promenade des Anglais and the famous 'flower battles' are not to be missed! So a trip to Nice is a must this February to get you in the 'Carnaval' mood as well as getting some sun. And don't forget to check out our Nice page to book somewhere good but cheap to stay for the festivities!
