An added incentive for fans to book up a cheap hostel in San Francisco and head along to the gig could be the fact that the group were originally formed just down the coast of this US city, in Los Angeles, meaning that these dates will almost be like a homecoming performance for the members.
The Weezer story can be tracked all the way back to 1992 when Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Matt Sharp, and Jason Cropper would get together to create the original sounding band, though Cropper would later be replaced by Brian Bell.
Almost twenty years later, the group are still going strong, having rose up to music domination and truly set their mark as one of the most-popular alternative rock bands on the scene in both the 1990s and 2000s.
Fans have just been treated to the eighth album from Weezer, titled Hurley, which was released in the UK in September and was named after the well-regarded character of Hugo 'Hurley' Reyes in the popular US drama Lost.
However, fans who go along to the Memories tour after successfully finding some cheap San Francisco hostels will not only hear tracks from this recent release.
That is because, according to Billboard.com, Weezer will also be playing the entire set-list from its first two album releases The Blue Album and Pinkerton, which may intrigue long-time fans of the band.
