What to do in a day in Sydney
The Scotsman's Rachael Macintyre has said that if you've just got off the plane, make sure that you book yourself into your hostel or wherever it is you're resting your head for the duration of your stay before you do anything else.
Once that's taken care of, your first port of call has to be the Sydney Opera House, where you can refresh yourself with a drink at the al fresco bar and ooh and aah over the wonderful architecture.
After that, Ms Macintyre has recommended that you head to the fantastically-named Woolloomooloo Bay, stopping off at the Royal Botanic Gardens to feel at peace and at one with nature.
Next, have an afternoon snack at Cafe Hernandez at Potts Point and then, once your appetite has been motivated, watch the sun go down over dinner on Bondi Beach. She suggested getting a table at Icebergs Dining Room and Bar. And that should take you up to bed time, although there is lots more to do while in the city, so your itinerary for your vacation should be choc-a-bloc.
Booking a holiday there for Mardi Gras (February 19th to March 7th) could be a great time to do so, as Gay Today recently said that this festival is massively popular and rivals any others of its kind in the rest of the world.
