The Latino Cultural Festival is occurring at the Queens Theatre in the Park, so it might be a good idea for those interested in attending to book a cheap hostel in New York.
The show has been going on since 1997, when it was founded by the theatre and the Latin American Cultural Center of Queens, to celebrate the contributions of Latin American artists to the cultural life in New York.
People who are interested in visiting the event - which takes place between July 29th and August 8th - may like to book their New York hostel as early as possible to ensure they have a room for the night.
Music, theatre, dance, family and film productions will all be taking place at the extravaganza and those into their culture can visit art exhibitions also.
An array of shows will be taking place, including an open mic night - hosted by Bonafide Rojas - on Wednesday August 4th.
Claudia Norman has been the festival director since 1999 and the theatre's website noted that she "has transformed a modest cabaret series into the nation's largest and most important Latino multi-disciplinary cultural festival" due to showcasing classic heritage and amplifying new voices.
Another activity that could be worth checking out in the Big Apple on August 7th and 8th is the free Hong Kong Dragon Boat festival, which is set to take place at Flushing Meadows Park.
