Nice place centered around little square in Atrani, a short walk from Amalfi. Near shops, cafes etc. Best breakfast I have had in a hostel for a long time (the capucchino is literally served with a smile). For dinner try the Ristorante Pizzeria Le Palme under the bridge 10 meters from the hostel. Some of the best food I had for 6-7 weeks in Italy. Normal price. Michael, from Denmark ~ 26th Sep 2011

Our stay at this hostel was awesome! The 2 brothers are helpfull and friendly, the breakfast in the morning is nice and the beach, busstop and Amalfi are of short to very short walking distance. Would definitely recommend this!! Susanne, from Netherlands ~ 31st Jul 2011

The brothers that run A Scalinatella in Atrani are so hospitable and kind! A friend and I spent two nights in one of their rooms and while very small, the character of the village more than made up for any shortcomings. We had an ensuite bathroom, which was about 4X5 feet. The room opened onto a small balcony, which shared a central area between four buildings. Each building had it's own balcony and as far as we could tell, the other folks that we saw during the day/night were locals.The room it Anthony, from USA ~ 12th Jul 2011
