A Venice Fish in Ho Chi Minh, Italien

Even though I had a reservation, they overbooked and sent me to another building. There was no keys to get into the building When I coordinated a time that I would be back to be let into the building, I hit the buzzer many times and was not let into the building. I waited outside in the cold for over an hour. I call the hostel and get another member of the staff who is out drunk. Finally I was let into the building. I refused to stay there another night. the worst hostel i've ever been. there is no key when you enter "your room". that means everyone can enter your room easily. and the room is very poor. there is nothing without the bed. the bed is also very poor. the bathroom cannot be rock strongly. just hang the hook. venice is really awesome, so don't ruin your journey at there. and as a venice policy, you should pay 3 Euro each day when you sleep in venice. i could not know that before they ask me. It was great staying at Venice Fish for the second time in my life. It is good to know, that now there are two places at one name, and the second one is little bit closer to the train station, and is situated in the quiet region. So if you prefer to sleep good rather enjoying the party all day (and night:) you can choose this other building. And still you can come wherever you want to the main building, eat dinner or use wi-fi there, or even hang out with the other guys as well! Take care!) Yana, from Russia ~ 29th Mar 2012

Having dinner included is huge perk! tasted good and food in venice is expensive! That said, the rooms were pretty bare, get a comforter and pillow, have to rent linens or bring. Definitely a fun, social vibe, great for single or group travellers, but maybe not best option if looking for a quiet night. Wifi but no computers Olivia, from USA ~ 28th Feb 2012

TheVenice FIsh is not for people seeking high star accomidation. But it was ok for me. I was traveling alone when I stayed there and it's a great place to meet people. The hostel is very conveniently located in the center of Venice a few minutes walk from St Marc Place and Piazza de Roma (railway/bus station)however there is no kitchen, no internet facilities another down side is that the hostel needs really to have the plumbing renovated (all sinks were leaking)and the bedroom was cold although the heating was. The owner of this place should really have it fully renovated because the house itself has a lot of charm. The hostel keeper was nice. Marie-Line, from France ~ 27th Feb 2012
