It was crap. Shower broken, door, easily openable, electricity out for hours, internet didn't work, the guy entering our room at 01:00 in the morning. Really CRAP. julien, from France ~ 5th Jan 2010

The hostel, that seemed very bad, was closed and they didn't inform us. 10 min after we rang the doorbell a stoned guy came up and said the owner was sick and they had to close 2 weeks ago!! (before we made the reservation...), we had to find another one (the horrible one at the side) at 22.00 in the night and arrived late at our date... antonio, from Italy ~ 16th Nov 2009

The room was a bit dirty, but we got a room with private bathroom, thou we have paid for room with shared bathroom. So that was really nice. Remember that you can ONLY pay in cash. The man who showed us the room, was very nice to tell us what to see, and where we could eat in the neighborhood, and also what places we should avoid. My friend and I stayed at this hostel for 2 nights. We felt very safe and comfortable. It is a bit outside of the central part of Amsterdam, but transportation is pretty easy to come by. We ended up walking to safe money, and to explore the city. So it was fine. The hostel was very private and not very exciting, it was basically just me and my friend hanging out in our room or around town. There are many restaurants and shops around the hostel. The main outdoor market was less than 2 John, from USA ~ 28th May 2009

This was the most nasty and expensive hostel ever. they let gays in, nothing against them but there were shit stains everywhere smelt like urine. there was no reception desk didnt take any kind of cards. would never stay here or recommend it to anyone else. the man running the biulding was creepy and never saw anyone for days. my friend and i thought we were the only ones staying there. no hot water only cold. fucking scary. Very nice staff. Rooms are comfortable (except the stairs). The location is a little bit uncomfortable (about 15 min. from the station), but there is a regular tram, until about 12.30 a.m. However place is wonderful, near oosterpark and plantage.
