For all intents and purposes, this is a functional and livable residence for a night or two. The staff (especially Aslam) were extremely helpful and friendly. You could tell that effort was put in to clean up the rooms, however, the furnitures and sheets themselves were cleary used and re-used and need to be replaced (especially considering that this residence, I felt, was not exactly cheap). All in all, not a bad place though not exactly in best shape.
Ali, thanks for kind remarks. We don't know exactly what makes you think furniture and sheets are below par. It is true all sheets are re-used after washing. Bed, mattresses were replaced 6 months ago with quality Serta mattresses, a well known brand for its quality. Of course, we are not the best place in town. For a hostel, we would stand one of highest standard. For a Hotel, people tell us, we are at least 2 stars. Our motto is to offer the best in its class, at very attractive prices for the same quality room. Your arrival was during the high demand period, and we did not think any further discounting was required. However, after 20th of September you will find our prices have dropped an average of 25%

Shower was really bad. Eighter cold as ice or hot like hell.
Yes, thats how the shower work. But put the handle in the middle to mix hot and cold to get the right temperatur

I had a 45 dollar balance on my room when I arrived, he upsold me to a private single for ten dollars and then charged me 67 dollars . . . That seems like its more than ten dollars extra. This all came after he was arguing with the four people checking in in front of me about how much of a balance they owed. He barely seemed to know how to use the computer.
Thanks for writing Joey. The balance Hostelworld shows is excluding taxes, so after adding the taxes the balance is more. Now, for $10, you changed the booking from hostel room to private, and that only after the agreement. Now the ability of operating computer, I can only imagine you have never heard of crashing of computer, so I take that blame for it. Don't let me into explaining the situation of 4 person. Simply said, for 2 nights they booked two different rooms, I was simply trying to help them, so that they could stay in the same room for both nights. When you are totally booked, it is not an easy task to accomplish. You saw, so many guests arrived at the same time. It becomes a challange to handle as efficiently as possible. In the end, Thanks for you comments, after all its not your job to analyse our chanallanges.

Handy for downtown and not too far from the railway station. There was free Wifi and I had a microwave oven and a refridgerator in my room. There\'s a car and van rental place across the road and a laundrette and dry cleaners close-by. This place had everything I needed and I would stay there again.
