This hostel is very good with the cheap price but still has a little disadvantage, which location is very far from the city. If you want to stay here, advice you to buy the 1-day ticket instead of 10-trip ticket metro. Staff and room are very nice. The kitchen is full of facilities and around the hostel has supermarket where you can buy some supplies in the night. If I have a chance, I will absolutely go back to here. Yes, you will read in all the reviews that this hostel is a little bit out of the beaten path - and this is true. You do need to take a train to get into town and see the main sites. That said, if you buy a T-10 card (ten trips = about .90 euro each) the cost savings is well worth your slightly extra time. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I had such a lovely stay here at Albergue Studio. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, available around the clock. The rooms were quiet and clean, and the other guests were respectful of the space and each other.Though this location is a bit outside of the major tourist areas, it is very close to the metro. Also, the neighborhood here is safe and full of good shopping and eating. (Be sure to go to Tomás for patatas bravas!). When I return to Barcelona, I will stay here again. Great host, took the time to give us a map and highlight some of the key attractions to see and do. Breakfast was good everything you need to start the day (one helping not buffet). Check what Metro ticket to buy we had to buy again when we changed lines as bought he wrong ticket first time. Overall a great stay, this hostel has everything you need at a good price. Although this hostel is removed from the main part of Barcelona, it's only a 10-15 minute metro ride to the city center.For the price, I completely recommend staying here!It's in a safe, quiet part of Barcelona, where you can escape the crazier parts of the city if you wish.The ping pong table and living area make for a great place to relax after a day of exploring the city.Plus, the accomodations are great for the price!I had my bag stolen on the last day before I left Barcelona, and I was able Paul, from USA ~ 11th Aug 2011

This hostel is a little far from the center (though easily accessible by metro) but the security of the location and the dedication, consideration and knowledge of the staff is well worth the trip.The owner gives each guest a map and along with a thorough explanation of the local attractions and how to get around.Staff is on call 24 hours in the office.The rooms are secure with personal bathrooms and the hostel is very clean.There is a common space on the ground level with television, ping pong Monique, from USA ~ 8th Jul 2011
