This was an okay hostel. The 'free breakfast' is just toast with jam, nutella, and peanut butter. My friend and I ended up having to leave early and couldn't get a refund for our last night, which was annoying. The place is not what is advertised. For the prize, you are stuffed in a very tiny room with at least four other people, the bathrooms don't even have a full curtain or sliding door so there is water everywhere. The rules of no smoking in the rooms are not enforced since the guy staying in the room where I was had cigarette butts all over the place, and the AC doesn't even work properly. hostel is disgusting and a faitly long walk from the city center. there was a cat on my bed when i arrived. there were also a surplus of australian travelers in the room whose clothes litteraly covered every square inch of the floor. it smelled like mildew and my bed had clearly been slept in. never go here. I want to refrain from calling this a horrible hostel because I'm polite. But, really, not a place that I would ever want to stay again. A lot of people criticize these places because they're new to travelling and hostels in general, I have years of experience travelling the world and I can tell that this place charges insane amounts of money for practically nothing bad conditions, very little security within the hostel, and it could be a lot cleaner if someone around there was trying harder. I wouldn't recommend the hostel experience for those who are paranoid about the security of their belongings. I personally took all mine with me going out. This hostel is located about a 30 minute walk on average to suitable attractions but isn't a problem if you buy a tram pass. The beds were comfier than I expected which was pleasantly surprising and the build of the hostel is quite cute as well.
