Excellent hostel with a friendly, informative, and talkative staff. Free tea is tasty as well. Good place to meet fellow travelers of the 20-30 age group, though older people are just as welcome.

Had a fabulous time staying at this hostel. Loved the luggage containers and the free towels :) Staff was super helpful and there was always someone in the common room. Already thinking of coming to Riga again...loved the cheap beer!!!

I thought the rooms were a bit dark... but aside from that the staff was very friendly and helpful. And the location is perfect: middle of old town, very very close to bus and train stations. :)

I stayed aat 2 hostels during my time in Riga and so even though there wasnt anything overtly bad about this hostel, I did like the one I stayed at first better. One of the major problems was they kept putting big groups in my dorm and I was a solo traveller

Nice hostel. I would stay again. Kitchen a bit small and hard to cook your own food apart from that good.

Humid and mosquitos everywhere. the staff didn't seem too bothered by this. Otherwise the hostel was great.

Don't know if it is connected to the hostel at all, but I wanted to go on a bobsledding trip when staying at Argonaut. I signed up for it on the board but was told the day the trip was supposed to happen that the guy "couldn't get out of bed." Again don't know if its connected to the hostel but if someone offering a tour has 3 people signed up for a trip, you would think they would get out of bed for it. That was the only downside of Riga and Argonaut.
