I've never been to a hostel that so well-designed like this. wonderful space creat wonderful experience of public space and privacy. I really appreciate the consideration of the owner for the design as I am a designer myself. The staffs is so friendly, helpful so the "back home" feelling has been fulfilled. Pretty good hostel. Dorms were spacious and quite comfortable. Bathrooms were fairly clean and staff was polite and helpful. Computers had a nominal charge for use (RM 1 per 15 minutes).I would stay here again. Karl, from USA ~ 1st Aug 2011

Free Breakfast (incl. Bananas), free wifi, enough toilets and showers, great location. close to public transport, chinatown and little India. Clean and safe. Friendy staff. Great rooms. Yes I gave it 100%.Yes it deserves it.From the moment I arrived until I left it was great. BackHome is clean, has a very friendly atmosphere, comfortable beds, wonderful showers, and the staff are some of the best I've come across.Very knowledgeable in KL and other places to go in Malaysia.One item to be aware of is that if you're in room 401 or 601, the street noise during rush hour in the morning and night is loud.Stuff in some ear plugs if you want to sleep in. The rooms are very clean and simple. The staff was welcoming and very helpful. It's not right in the middle of the action, but a very short walking distance from Merdeka Square, Chinatown, KL tower, etc. I am a single female traveler, and I felt comfortable walking around in the daytime and in the early evening. When walking back to the hostel from Chinatown later at night, I felt better in a group. I would definitely stay at backhome again. In fact, I've already been a repeat customer.
