This hostel is a place where one can feel at home. The staff are absolutely fun to be around for they are friendly and genuine people. I've stayed there for about a week, and I felt very comfortable and it was pleasant. They're hospitality is incomparable to the one's I've heard about. No bed time, no anal rules, etc., and they've even shared their meals with their guests. Plus it's in a prime location, everything you need is right out the doorsteps (esp with all the popular cafes, bars, rest Lisett, from USA ~ 1st Nov 2009

Out of all the hostels I've been to recently, Backpacker Friends really stands out in making the visitor feel like part of a household, lkind of like a guesthouse. The owner/manager is incredibly friendly, and accomodating. Also, among the cleanest hostels I've been to. Excellent/convenient location, in the heart of the nightlife/cafe area. This is a great place if you truly want the Korean youth experience. It is smack in the middle of the Hongdae party district, you will be able to go out drinking and stumble back to the hostel no problem. I would not recommend this for older folks or younger kids. The staff is what makes this place excellent. It is run (and owned??) by Mr. Kim. He employs his friends and they love to eat and socialize together. Hi, it feels more like a homestayand the owner is really nice and provided everything we needed. Surely its a small hostel, so its nothing for people who prefer a bit more privacy, but all in all it is recommandable if you want to feel at home, not just staying somewhere... It's a small but cozy hostel so its like a home away from home. The staff are great, we had fun together and they even made dinner for everyone.
