Backpackers Hostel Salta in Odessa, Argentinien

Stayed here for NYE 2009. Nice hostel. Location is really poor, a real hike from the town, though they say its a stroll from the plaza. Staff were okay but failed to stock the fridge for 3 days with agua, thats three days over the new year, very pain in the rear. Bar was closed the 2 days i was there, no parties and pool was filthy. Avoid and find somewhere closer to town you will thank me. Adios amigos.

Hi Ruairi, just a few things about your comments: 1) You DID NOT stay with us for new year's eve. You arrived at our hostel on the 1st of January, you missed the part we organized (more than 100 guests attended), I gues that's the reason you rated us with a 1 on fun. 2) The bar is allways open, every single day from 10.00 am to 03.00 am. It's funny, cause dinner is included in the price, and dinner is served at the bar!! So, I guessed we forgot to serve dinner for two days in a row!!! (sorry for the sarcasm) 3) We keep saying the same thing, THIS IS NOT THE CLOSEST HOSTEL IN TOWN, we are about 8 blocks from main square and 5 blocks from downtown. If anyone think this is too far, please DO NOT book with us. There are much more centrical options in town, much more cheaper options also. Just take your chances and book anywhere else. Anyhow, have a nice trip!

I had a great Christmasparty with a delicious Barbecue and Fireworks. The party was so great that I will spent New Year also here. And it is so great to have a swimming pool. Dinner are included in the price! Enjoy your stay here. Kalb, from Germany ~ 29th Dec 2009
