nice place where you can chill, make your own asado, go swimming before your breakfast (which is actually really good, with fruits, etc), get good informations by the host. La Balconada was delightful. It is located right on the beach, and within easy walking distance to stores and the heart of town. The hostel is clean and modern and full of natural light and wooden decks. It is also a small hostel, which gave it an exceptionally chill, relaxed, homey feeling. The staff was great- treated the guests like guests in their home. I ended up staying many days longer than I was planning because La Balconada was so inviting. Highly recommended! Booking through hostelworld. com I was asked if I wanted a female dorm but there was none on arrival. I suggest you create one, it is a good extra service you can provide with little efford. Thanx for everything, the hostel is great! Elena, from Italy ~ 15th Jan 2009

The best hostel overall I have stayed at!!Brand new, clean and right at the beach.The best breakfast! It is family owned and we felt like we were part of the family.Planned to saty for 3 nights and stayed close to a week. I would recommend this to anyone heading to La Poloma.
