What is not mentionned in the website, is that the price displayed is for a room without window... so if you want a window, then you have to pay more. And, about the decoration in the rooms: they look more like a love hotel, than a standard, family hotel rooms... Neva, from France ~ 29th Apr 2012

Forbidden City Hostel was a great place to stay for my visit to Beijing. It was located within a 10 minute walk to Tienanmen Square and the Forbidden City, and the staff that very accommodating to help with tours. Our room was better than I expected for a hostel - two small beds, private bathroom, and TV in our room. It was unfortunate that we didn't have wireless internet available in our bedroom, but Ethernet plug in was. Staff was very friendly and restaurant was convenient. Melissa, from China ~ 9th Apr 2012

Fantastic location.You can not beat this location for a trip to Beijing.Wanfujing Market, where they sell all of the crazy food (I ate silk worms, kidney, dog and cat) is around the corner as well as a foreign bookstore if you need some English books in China.Around the other corner is the subway station, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and mostly speaks English. I guess I need to find something wrong.Bedding wasn't spotless. Jared, from USA ~ 13th Sep 2011
