I was extremely satisfied with my stay and the use of the facility. The staff was very helpful. The location is safe, easy to get to the subway and nearby stores for food etc. There was a problem with a person next door and the staff was right on it. Con,only one computer was working. A great modern and clean hostel! Will definitely recommend to friends! It's a good location for visiting uptown New York, but would stay somewhere downtown as well to experience a completely different part of town! Staff were friendly and helpful and the common areas were great!! Internet was the biggest downer, as it was very slow and only available in the lobby. I have had a good stay here & the place is ok for what you pay for, however, it depends on what floor they put you. I think some floors are better than the others. The common areas are Excellent(much more than I expected)and the place is kept very clean overall.Good value for the money.My only major complaint is I expected a separate bed (like the photo) and not a bunk bed. Also the bedrooms are too bare bones. Just adding a shelf with a hang-bar and a couple of hangers would have been a huge plus. The good part about the rest rooms is that there is hot water, but they\'re lacking in enough toilet paper.Overall, I\'d sleep here again if the need arise. Lucille, from USA ~ 27th Apr 2012

Good: Quiet dorms and rest of the hostel, no noisy children. Excellent location. Not so good: Nothing to do except watching TV/video. Three video screens in two lounges showing the same film... There should be a recreation room without video impact. Roland, from Germany ~ 21st Apr 2012

Great place. There is a Doorman. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Though the place is more like a hotel that provides a hostel service so don't expect a party atmosphere in the common areas. Just nice clean facilities. Showers were hot and the bathrooms were cleaned regularly. It's pricey but so is everything in NYC! Paul, from Australia ~ 16th Apr 2012

Although the staff were very friendly, they failed to do simple things like replace soap/toilet paper in bathroom.There was also the issue of smelling strong marijuana from one of the rooms nearby ours and later we found out there are people living in the hostel along with someone's cat roaming the halls - a little creepy and unexpected as the hostels' ratings were high in safety and character.
