Our original flight was cancelled when we started our trip, but the hostel kept our rooms for us and didn't charge us for that lost day. The rooms were clean, conveniently located at the end of the main street of Guilin. We had an abysmal time at the Yangshuo hostel we went to, and couldn't wait to come back to buddy's. While I stayed at Buddys I met no other guests, what so ever. I had a eight person dorm all to my self. Had there been a couple of other guests this would probably have been a great hostel, it is extremely cheap, the location is perfect, 5 min. to everything, the staff is not great at english, but they get an A+ for trying, and the day trips they booked for me were great!Staying as a gruop or in highseason this is a great hostel, but I do not recommend it as a hostel for a single traveller Marlene, from Denmark ~ 26th Nov 2011

I absolutely loved it there. The location is great, the staff is really helpful and friendly. I have only 2 things to complain: 1. It is really hard to find the door, because it is a bit hidden. 2. The menu for food could be slightly bigger. But besides those 2 things I had nothing to complain. The bathrooms where clean and surprisingly new. It is a good hostel.
