Bungalow Bay Koala Village YHA in Bandar Seri Begawan, Australien

Very cool place with the small 3 beds bungalow. Good location on the opposite side of the island than the ferry but calm and beautiful beach 4 minutes walk. Buses easy to go there. Unbelievable rules on accommodation which we have never heard before or since that. Small babies cant sleep in same bed with adults unless there is extra bed for them. It doesnt matter do they use it or not. Staff made a mistake and in the last minute realized to save the day by arranging alternative option...before that they tried to charge extra bed from our group. Cabins were freezing and arranged activities in the evening were pretty poor. Koala Sanctuary was rip off. WE DONT RECOMMEND.

Hi There, We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Unfortunately, due to Fire and Safety laws, we have certain rooms for different numbers of people and when you booked for 2 people, we put you in a double room. Therefore with three of you (child or not) we could not accommodate you in this room. This is not our hostel rule, it is the law. I am glad to hear that the staff managed to arrange an alternate room for you. We have also had a particularly cold snap at the moment, especially at night. If you had let us know, we happily provide extra blankets at reception! I am suprised to hear you did not enjoy the Wildlife tours as these are usually extremely well received. We are actually one of the cheapest places in North Queensland where you get to hold Koala's, Croc's, birds, lizards and more!
