The hostel is really nice. Rooms with views... even the bathroom had a pretty nice view. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice and we shared some good conversations. The place is well located near Catania's bus and train stations and short walking distance to the center. The kitchen was wonderful, and the most important is that there was a very nice atmosphere Ionathan, from Israel ~ 8th Nov 2011

Very nice hostel to stay but the bed mat is tío thin
Hi! Since you weren't the only who find the mats thin, we bought new mats! Now are perfect :) So we hope you'll come to test them!

Victor was nice but not very helpful, the girl that was working there was really rude.The hostel is basically in the ghetto and after 7pm there's prostitutes everywhere. There's hardly any security, anybody can walk in the building, and the locks of the hostel doors don't work so anyone can get in.There was no internet for 3 days. No breakfast. If you need help from the staff, they're only there from 8-10am and 8pm-10pm.It's a really sketchy neighbourhood and it's dangerous to walk alone at nigh
Criticism is constructive only when founded. In this case, however, our guest's assessment is basically unfair and untruthful, therefore we consider it necessary to replicate. Our hostel is not located in a ghetto but inside an impressive period property, nearby the central Via Etnea and the station. Its location is, indeed, our strong point. As for the sense of danger, this depends on our sensitivity, on how much we actually know a city, rather than a first impression. This is true for every city in the world and every true traveller knows it. Our hostel is not at all open to everyone, it has no direct entry from the street and you have to get through no fewer than three entrances, all outfitted with state-of-the-art opening systems, activated by badges specially provided only to our guests. It is possible that some connection problems have occurred, but, as far as we know, they have never lasted for three consecutive days. Breakfast at our hostel is on demand, moreover it is an excellent breakfast at a very cheap price. Our staff members are available 16 hours a day during the week and 24 hours a day during the weekends. The woman who has been �rudely� described as rude was only doing her duty when she kindly requested the guest to tidy up the kitchen stuff she had used. Kitchen stuff here is at our guests' disposal without charge and we are proud of providing a beautiful, clean and fully equipped kitchen. We try, as much as possible, to suit all our customers' needs. We are sorry if, in this particular case, we did not understand and satisfy the need for attention this guest used to have, seeing that, however, she used to find more solace in food rather than in our services.
