Cairns Beach House in Rio De Janeiro, Australien

NOT NEAR THE BEACH! to call this a beach house is misleading, if you want to be close to the action in Cairns then choose a hostel on the Esplanade. location aside, this is an interesting hostel, its a big old apartment complex, with a pool, and rooms that a scattered around in different buildings.pros: free wifi, bar @ hostel with great deals, bar staff was fun, free breakfast, free pasta dinner.cons: we got a private room but it was connected to a larger room with 6 beds, far from beach and es

Thanks for your review, however we are in fact one of the closest hostels to the beach, the Northern Beaches are Cairns only natural beaches the bus stop is right at our gate and the first one is only 15 minutes away. We are also located right near the Esplanade maybe a 3 minute walk, where you can take a wonderful stroll / jogto the Lagoon or Marina (the Esplanade is not just the touristy end with the lagoon in the city) If you don't like walking we have a shuttle bus that goes to and from the city every hour for FREE. Even though our location was a down side for you (even though we love it!) We hope you enjoyed all the free stuff we offer for such a low price... All the best with your future travels x

nice place to hang or party. 4 bed room wasn't that great. very hot, no a/c so sliding glass door was left open. no privacy.

Thanks for your review, to keep our prices as low as possible we have our a/c units on timers through the summer months, I know it can be hot up here even in our 'winter' months like when you stayed but it does get cooler on an evening so we don't seem to have too many problems. When in Cairns the last this you want to be doing is sitting around in your room, we recommend getting out and seeing all the natural beauties the Tropical North as to offer... or just relaxing by the pool! Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip in Aus! x
