The Candy Inn is in a hutong area in Beijing, so it is in a calm spot, where regular people live away from the extreme business of the city. However, a short walk or a subway ride will have you right in the middle of it. I really liked the Candy Inn, and would stay there again! Samantha, from New Zealand ~ 3rd Oct 2011

We stayed at the Hai Inn/Candy Inn for about two weeks. We had a double bed private ensuite room, which was good, but early in the morning I found it to be a little noisy because it was very close to the front desk. The staff were awesome, especially Roxy and Amy, but all of them spoke very good english, and were very helpful with booking flights within China, train rides and tours. I can strongly recomment Candy Inn, or in China known as Hai Inn. The staff is really friendly and helpful. They speak Engels and help you out with your trip, by for instance writing down translations so you can tell the bus drivers where you want to go. Even in Beijing hardly anybody speaks English, and definitely no bus drivers! The rooms have no window to the outside, which is traditional in China and therefore very common.
