The location is excellent (located in the old part of Stockholm), it's clean and it's safe. That's what matters most. We had a fine stay at Castanea Old Town Hostel!

Wir haben nur zwei Nächte hier übernachtet, waren aber super zufrieden.Alles war sehr sauber, die Lage könnte besser kaum sein, und das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit. Jederzeit wieder :).

Hello,
I had a nice stay in jour hostel. The only my comment would be about the heating. I came in cold day and the room was pretty cold with soft blanket and no chance to control/open up the heating. The good I was alone, so I could use both blankets, but in fact the room was cold what I felt very unpleasant. Otherwise all was nice.

The showers were gross, they smelled like sulfer and had hair everywhere.
Our room was so small (room 3), that 2 people could barely pass each other. Also, there was a cockroach the first night.
I don't think I would recommend this hostel despite the fantastic location.
Hi Kristen, if anything is not satisfactory during your stay, we would appreciate if you could let us know and we will do our best to change it while you are still here.
I'm very surprised to hear about a cockroach as they hardly exist in Sweden! We had a big search team here for anything in your room and there is absolutley no cockroach here! The rooms are all different some are smaller and some are larger. Kind regards Lotta

I stayed in a single-room with a wonderful view to a yard with green trees. The bathrooms were unbelievable clean for a hostel!
