This was a very quaint place to stay. I stayed in a private room (cabin) with a friend. The ceiling fan was enough to keep us cool at night and we enjoyed the pool and the views/surrounding area. Tipton, from USA ~ 11th May 2011

Sadly we did not have the best experience here. The place was far from town and did not have a kitchen, forcing you to either buy the wife's dishes or walk a few km into town to eat. The man who ran the place told us the wrong bus times. The wifi turned off at 9 every night and the fan in the room did not work. Kind of a bummer. Miguel and his family are very warming people. Their hostel is awesome. It is really at the base of the volcano. Stay here and get a tico family eye of Costa Rica. His daughter is a bright and energetic girl, she is fun to play basketball with and explore the grounds. Can't wait to go back! Hamilton, from USA ~ 11th Mar 2011
