If they can speak Chinese, that would be better. The hostel is our great choice in the trip. They clean the room everyday, and staffs are all friendly. Shower room would be little tiny, but clean is the best. YINGWEN, from Taiwan ~ 31st May 2009

Had a great stay! The City Lodge is more like a budget hotel then like a hostel. A bit noisy though, especially because of the police station and construction site nearby. There was some construction going on & the side where I was at was pretty loud w/ cars going by. I also couldn\'t get the a/c to come on but then again..maybe it wasn\'t the a/c but it was pretty stuffy. Jennifer, from USA ~ 2nd Mar 2009

This was a fantastic and clean hostel. Not very central.. which isn't necessarily a bad thing in Auckland. Not super fun but it was nice to stay in a place that was a bit low key. I thought it was an excellent hostel and definitely worth the money we paid. Alicia, from USA ~ 29th Dec 2008

great place, nice kitchen and day room, very friendly and helpfull staff. the only drawback is construction next door at early am and noisy drunks in apt bldg across the street, but they usuaally shut up after 11. still I would stay there again David, from USA ~ 16th Dec 2008
