Ferry House Hostel- Tarbert in Singapore, Irland

It was rather hard to find the hostel. No real breakfast - just cereal, and no good places to have breakfast around. Close to the ferry - might be a factor if you plan to travel between west and south. But the place was clean, and the staff was friendly. Can't really say anything about fun - we stayed there in October, out of the normal tourist season, so the hostel was completely empty, but it's a very small town, so I suspect summer is not much more different. We didn't actually get to stay here! We really wanted to. loved the website and seemed like a great place-probably is! But, it's not in Shannon...it comes up when you search for hostels in Shannon, Ireland but it's actually in the country and we had no way to take public transportation to get there so we had to cancel.
