Fly by Knight Courtyard Hostel in Beijing, China

The best beds in a hostel that I have seen, very comfortable big pillows and plankets etc. Location is quite close to the Forbidden city (a few bus stops). The hostel is difficult to find and you have to go through quite narrow alleys so make sure you arrive before dark. Better to bring a map with you. The common area is quite small with one little sofa but with a big table with chairs around. There is one computer with FB access. This was my first time visiting Beijing, and from start to finish - it was amazing! I've got everyone at Fly by knight hostel to thank for that The directions to the hostel were spot on, I was made to feel very welcome as soon as I arrived, the hostel has lots of activities going on, it's full of interesting people and is always as immaculate as possible. I visited the 'Jaikun' section of the Great Wall (which was stunning!), when organising the trip - the manager, Daniel, translated everyth ben, from Wales ~ 27th Oct 2011

Where doI even begin? This hostel is amazing!!! My friend and I are young women and we stayed in the mixed dorm and we always felt completely safe and secure. The staff ROCK!!! My bag was stolen by a taxi driver and Daniel (the owner of Fly By Knight) went with me to the subway station where I caught the taxi, found the cab driver, and got me my bag back. This is absolutely the best place I have ever stayed (hostel or hotel). They booked tours for us, made dumplings with us, and even gave us a K Lauren, from USA ~ 10th Oct 2011

I enjoyed our stay at the hostel, I was very happy with the friendly and helpfull staff, the clean room and the athmosphere of the hostel. I was a bit unhappy with the noise of the other guests at nightime. I wil recommend the hostel to my friends. nancy, from Netherlands ~ 7th Oct 2011

Very friendly hostel, perhaps the best I every seen as yet. The location around the hostel give a good impression how a Chinese live, when you are in the hostel, you think, you are in the past, it looks like a old temple. 100 %Character!!!! By the way the rooms are all new and clean! The crew is very kind and give tips and advice, when you need some.
