I stayed here for 8 nights for the film festival and was really disappointed by the standard of the hostel. We had constant problems with the lock to the door which went unresolved for several days and staff had to open the door for us. We got moved to different rooms because of the problem and the only had one shower for a whole floor and the place was very dirt. This place is great. Cant recommend it more. Staff is genuinely friendly and they've got everything you need for a good time in Toronto! I wasnt in Toronto for partying, but it's sure is a good place to start a night out!! Highly recommended... STEPHANE, from France ~ 13th Sep 2009

Avoid at all costs! Facilities are dirty, bare bone, and uncomfortable. For the "free pancake breakfast," they did not have enough utensils for everyone, so you'd have to go scavenging through the back room in hopes of finding a dirty utensil to wash.
