Gojo Guest House is like a sweet oasis. It has such a nice atmosphere with lovely staff, delicous food and even some art. I really enjoyed my stay here and will definatly be back.

The staff was really helpful and friendly. The room is nice and comfortable with a traditional Japanese feel. It's a little far from the middle of the city, but close to a good sightseeing area.

We cannot say anything more about the location; it's located in the center of almost everything with easy access to many buses that take you to everywhere you can think of in Kyoto. The staff is all very young, kind and understanding. They held our luggages for us when our plan was unexpectedly altered the last 2 days of our trip while we tried to figure out where to stay.

While the accouterments were nice, and the bed soft, there wasn't a lot of fun to be had here. If you're looking for a nice place to crash and a good Japanese-style toilet, then this is good, but if you want flexible staff and fun times outside your traveling group, look somewhere else.
