It was not aircondition, just between 8pm-5am. The bed was unconfortable. It was not parking place bythe hostel. The kitchen was always full and the fridge was small and was not enough room. I can't recommended this hostel, if you wantquiet place and a good relax.
Hi Zara, At this time of year the hostel is always a full house, therefore it may not be as comfortable with use of facilities as when it is 70% full. It is hostel policy to provide air-conditioning from early evening to the early morning in the rooms as this is a huge expense for budget accommodation. It is provided from the afternoon onwards in the common area. New years eve was a relatively cool night, so I don't see why you are complaining.The queen size bed in your room is as new and is perfectly in good order.As for parking there is a paid facility next door to the hostel if the streets were busy being New Years Eve. Our facilities are generally highly regarded by world travelers. I am sorry we were not able to meet your high expectations of what a hostel should be. Philip

Loved this hostel, very easy to meet people here, very cosy little place and close to everything you need. I would definately go back and I would recommend it to other travellers going to Perth. Mary, from Ireland ~ 30th Dec 2011

This hostel had a really cosy, welcoming feel to it. In two heritage houses. Limited reception hours though so if you arrive late you rely on another backpacker opening the door and giving you a key. Staff very friendly and helpful Jennifer, from Scotland ~ 30th Nov 2011

There is no heater to keep us warm during the cold night (14 degree celsius). Very disappointing when in the middle of having shower early in the morning (when the weather is cold) hot water supply suddenly stopped. What i saw online was not what i got.
Hi Lolin, We are now in spring time in Australia and our heating is turned off. We are in between times where we almost need cooling. With regards to the hot water system we had it checked and it is working fine. Maybe you accidentally touched the tap whilst showering and turned the hot water down as the tap is a mixer. You should have spoken with reception.
