Excellent, excellent hostel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and facilitated social events, a great advantage when travelling alone. Free dinners and breakfasts added to the welcoming, interactive feel of the place, and the free after-dinner vodka shot in the evening was a great ice-breaker! The rooms were exceptionally clean, lockers quite large, and bathroom facilities exceptionally well-maintained and comfortable. I loved Greg and Tom's and was so sad to leave! I've never written one of these reviews before but this hostel was absolutely amazing. The staff are incredibly friendly and are always encouraging you to eat their home-cooked (free) breakfasts and (free) dinners, as well as the ever-flowing (free) shots every night. Combined with perfect location, (free) laundry, and lots of good people, it was by far the best of all the hostels I stayed at throughout my trip. Staff are extremely knowledgeable too and keep you informed about events/tours/etc. Neil, from Australia ~ 16th Nov 2011

The outside of the building had us worried but when we reached the hostel it by far exceeded our expectations. Fantastic room, location, staff and atmosphere were second to none. Dan, from Australia ~ 27th Aug 2011

The hostel is right next to the main train station, which is handy, and right on the edge of the Old Town. The hostel shares a building with a number of other residents and the rooms are on different floors (we had a room on the fourth floor, while the kitchen, sitting room and reception was on the second floor). The staff put on a free dinner every night and there is a huge collection of DVDs to borrow, as well as free wifi and two free computers on your floor. The rooms are very spacious with Thomas, from Australia ~ 13th Aug 2011

The hostel is more like a guest house than your typical hotel. It is a nice change staying in a smaller hostel- has 3 levels with maybe 3 or 4 rooms on each floor which means it is very quiet. Rooms are very clean and even better no bunks and free lockers to store your stuff. The free breakfast is delicious as is the dinner if you cannot be bothered exploring the city's many restaurants. Hot showers too and free linen and towels Location is excellent near the train station for easy access Lisa, from Australia ~ 23rd Jul 2011
